Just put a Orange Spot Goby and Sixline in the QT. I'm less concerned about the Goby having sand to sift, but more so of the Wrasse not having sand to sleep in. Will this create additional stress for the Wrasse and/or will this make him learn how to sleep without sand and not do it once he eventually goes in the DT? I've always thought that was a fun thing to watch and one of the great things about the Sixline. =)

I used DT water to make the QT, but don't have anything else with bacteria on it. If I put a piece of LR in there from the sump and the fish end up being fine, I would assume it's then safe to put the LR back in the DT. But if I end up having to treat them, then the LR would be toast at that point.. right?

I actually went to check the tank earlier and couldn't find the Wrasse to save my life, so I started kicking boxes back looking everywhere around the tank in case he jumped. I didn't find anything. Looking a lot harder, I saw the tip of his tail sticking up out of one of the couplers propping the egg crate up. I assume he's either dying or this is his burrow for the night.

I haven't seen either eat any food I put in, but what they didn't eat earlier is all gone now. The Wrasse was also picking at my frag plugs as soon as I put him in.

I would think they would be ok until you put them in the DT. As long as they have somewhere to hide, which it seems they do. Maybe someone else will know more.

I agree, sixlines IME don't need sand for sleeping
