    Rainford's Goby.

Are you looking for something that lives in the sand or just a bottom dweller?

Don't know about the mantis, think it would kill your snails and stuff. you could try a pistol shrimp goby pair. I think some pistols can also be a threat to snails and crabs though.

from what the guy at the lfs said they only pose a threat to the smallest thinks copepods amphipods ect. the thing looked like it had claws though like a mini white lobster.

it is a 7 gal eclipse tank with a 4-5 in dsb. im either going to put a 10 gallon sump in or hook it into my 55 gallon reef or both lol

tank mates will be snails hermits and a pearly jawfish and a fire shrimp. i know its pretty heavy bio load thats why im thinkn of putting it with the 55 gall reef

7 gallons really limits what you can even fit. I'm more worried about over-crowding than your bio load. A small goby would be all I would reccoment. Maybe something like a clown goby (Gobiodon genus) a hectors goby (Amblygobius genus), a neon goby (Elacatinus oceanops) a wheelers watchman goby (Amblyeleotris wheeleri) or a yellow watchman goby (Cryptocentrus cinctus). The last two would be more sand dwellers.
