Salty Underground's Intense Aquacultured SPS Corals

Saltyunderground.com is carrying a new line of aquacultured SPS that has never been offered on a national scale. These corals have intense color and were grown out, and are currently maintained, under VHO and T5 lighting. They are many generations removed from the wild colonies making them choice pieces for the captive reef.

    The list includes:
    encrusting montis
    Lokani
    enchinatas
    milleporas
    stylophoras
    seriatoporas
    pocillopora
    acroporas
    gomezi
    turaki
    stags

Are they grown using zeo or some other "Ultra Low Nutrient System."?

Thanks for taking a look on at the new SPS corals. We are very excited about having them.

These corals are grown using good old fashioned reef keeping practices.
    50/50 10k and actinic VHOs or T5s
Very low to no phosphates (as a rule, very important for the pink colors in SPS)
    No nitrates
Decent, but not blasting, water movement
    Calcium 400
    kH 8-9

Otherwise, no tricks or special processes are involved. This is what makes them so desirable for the captive reef. Anyone who pays attention to water parameters should be able to keep these corals.
