    Salifert Alkalinity test - Strange results

    After testing, my result showed a dKH of 9.0 (3.2 Alkalinity in meq/l)

    When I tested the "7.6 check water" that came with the test, it measured the exact same!

    So what do you guys think, is the test water and my tank water really 9.0 or 7.6?

    Salifert is probably the best test kits on the market. Your DKH is 9.0 -- I am not sure what you did with the "7.6 check water". sounds like you are in good shape to me.

    Retest the "check water"
