Gatorade bottle = cheapest phosban reactor ever! - Nano-Reef.com Forums

I was looking into making a DIY carbon reactor and I found a really easy design using a Gatorade bottle, problem is that i saw some conflicting views on which type of plastic bottles would not leach toxins into the water.
I think the class 1 or PETE ones are ok, but I'm not sure. Anyone knows more about this?

#1 or #2 are fine for the aquarium.
