So there is a LFS in my area selling a red bubble tip and I am wondering if there is a difference between a red bubble tip and a rose bubble tip? Reason being they are selling it for 1/3 of the cost of a Rose.

Just coloration, but rose tips demanding a higher price, not sure why.

rose bubble tips are a rip off IMO, when i first decided to go the estra few bucks and purchase a rose instead of a plain green or brown within a few months the rose had turned greenish red. i think their color varies too much to base their price on their color alone.

Back before they had all these stylish names the Rose tip was more of a pink hue and very sought after, this was about 10-15 years ago.

Many of my Rose tip where a red coloration.

If you look at this link there are images of my Rose tips, they do appear red. I guess it's just a difference in semantics.

A red BTA should be a rose BTA. I'd have to see it though. Perhaps the cheaper one is a dyed green BTA.

Don't let the colors you see in the lfs fool you. They may be running different lights than you are, either stronger or a different combo of white and blue. My long tentacle nem was blue at the lfs but it is more lime green under my lights.

The lfs uses led, under actinic and white both appeared red. I'm just curious why I see rbta go for 60-150 and this red is 50. And to those of you that have had nems which I have not do you think one would made it in a 90 with a 4 bulb Tek fixture using high par bulbs?
