I just bought a brs rodi off ebay and it comes with a hose adapter but could I hook it up to a garden house outside or would this create problems?
Also theres a black and a blue line but idk which one is waste water
And Does it matter in which order I put the filters?

I use mine on the garden hose adapter, I don't use a hose... just hook it up straight to the spicket. The blue is usually the pure water and black is the inlet hose. It depends on the brand of RO/DI unit though. If it has a manual you should be able to find which tube is which. Or if you take a pic of it people can tell you which end the pure water will come out of.

If it can purify water from steel or copper pipes, I can't see a garden hose harming anything. You might want to flush the hose first to help save your filters though, especially if it's been sitting full for a while.

It shouldn't be a problem but it will depend on pressure or/di units work best at approximatly 60 psi. So as long as you can maintain this pressure and run water through the hose for a few min before making pure water I don't see why it wouldn't work.

They actually work the best at way higher psi.

I agree that's why I said approx 60 psi. 60-80 psi would be ok anything over 80 or less than 40 could cause damage to the unit and or make un affective.

Disagree with 80 psi causing damage. They test the units much higher than that.
