So I have seen a couple issues with my source water from LFSs around me and the ones that are decent are a good 10 bucks worth of gas each way. I see Spectrapure units are like $150 right now on sale. All I have to do is click Checkout....should I? Is the investment really worth it? It looks like it to me.

Also, I am apartment living, I can easily just hook this up to a faucet with the correct adapter right?

The health of your system is well worth the investment.

Absolutely! While your pets may survive small traces of impurities, they won't be very fond of being persistently smothered with nuisance algae blooms.

    Cheers

The CSP-DI is $145 on sale. It comes standard with a garden hose thread adapter so you may need a $12.99 quick disconnect faucet adapter which can be found at the bottom of the page here:
    PLUMBING ACCESSORIES FOR RO

Having your own RO/DI is a blessing. Its nice having ultimate control of your water quality, remember water is the single largest ingredient in a reef system and everything depends on its quality. It will pay for itself quickly.
