Anything you get for AirWaterIce is excellent. We have a new sponsor that sells RODI as well, but haven't heard how they are yet.

I would call Marine Depot and explain again the problems you had with the light and see if they will give you a good deal on the RO/Di, if they don't offer free shipping already, see if they will ship free or throw in something nice for your troubles.

It never hurts to ask, and of course be civil when asking

Bulk reef supply also makes some good units.

Absolutely. The cannisters on the h20 science are very thick and heavy duty. The filters inside are where the majic happens. Not the sticker on the outside. I have only changed my DI and filters twice in a year, and I make alot of water. Also my TDS from my local water co. is about 380-425 ppm. (Very High). You are correct. 75GPD seems to be the best, and make sure it is a DOW Filmtek. Also no matter what unit you choose, make sure the DI and others are verticle, not horizontal. Otherwise the water will channel over the top of the resin. 4 stage is all you need IMO. anything more is just overkill, and more expensive to replace filters.

I don't recall if it was this site of RC, but there was thread on RO/DI who was using what, for how long, how they liked it etc.
There were quite a few using products from these guys.

    P U R E W A T E R C L U B

I bought my unit from them and have been using it for nearly a year and I have not changed any filters- I have an inline TDS meter and the water coming out is still testing 0ppm.

I bought this unit since I only have a 75 gallon tank
    0PPM Portable 50GPD Reverse Osmosis RO+DI Water Filter - eBay (item 380146794855 end time Nov-04-09 14:42:46 PST)

For 62.00 dollars delivered and the fact it does what is says-well no brainer for me

I have it hooked up to a holding reservoir (35 gallon barrel) that also feed my auto top off unit. I just siphon out 15-20 gallons when I do a water changed. After that I turn on the water to the RO/DI and it fills that 35 gallon barrel back up.

Works great and again there were people who had used these guys units for at least 2 years with no problems.

Lots of units out there to choose from, this one is portable (although mine is mounted so its no longer portable) and easy to use

Go with bulk reef supply, they have high quality units. I would also recommend DOW FILMTEC membrane.

These are very high quality systems. I've had mine for a year, absolutely perfect.
