What kind of system do most of you use. And how often do you have to change the filters

I use a Spectrapure. 6 months on the prefilter and carbon, nearly never on the RO membrane, and the DI is changed whenever you get 1+ TDS output.

I also use Spectrapure. Their quality and cost of ownership cannot be beat, thats probably why they have been around for over 25 years.

I've got a 75 gpd from BRS. BRS has a good mix of price and positive reviews.

I gave Spectrapure some serious thought because of all the extremely positive reviews. However, the Spectrapure website doesn't tell you what comes with their RO/DI unit. Also their shipping was about 30 dollars.

Nonsense, the only place they don't tell you that information is on the sale page. Go look on their full website, and they explain everything in excruciating detail.

The shipping is $30 because the MaxCap I got was about 20-25 pounds, and about 2 foot x 1.5 foot x 2 foot. It's a huge, heavy box, and the unit needs to be packaged properly to avoid damage.

You could very well have problems. If you don't get an RODI off the bat, at least get RODI water from a LFS, and make sure you check their TDS meter.

If the sale page stated whether the RO/DI unit came with accessories like a tds meter, pressure gauge, etc. Than I would have no complaints. The fact that you have to navigate away from the sale page to find out what you're buying is awkward.

IMO 30.00 is high for shipping.

All the shipping quotes I have seen on the forums was $18 for the CSP-DI or ProPlus. The MaxCap is a much larger and heavier system so it would obviously be more.
Spectrapure has the most detailed information available anywhere, no other manufacturere or vendor has anything like they offer.
    Take a look here:
    SPECTRAPURE MANUALS
    or here:

    or here:

    or here:

    or right here on 3Reef:

or here where they list every piece in detail:
    RO/DI SYSTEMS
or the sale ad here where everything in the photo is included like TDS meters, pressure gauges, vertical DI etc:

When you buy a RO/DI you should always do some research, not just look at a sale flyer or single page. The information is all there.

I doubt Culligan can give you 0 TDS and if they do it will be very expensive. Don't accept anything less than 0 TDS and at no more than a nickel a gallon final cost because that about the maximum a RO/DI costs to make water including the water and sewer rates and filter replacements.
