So I was looking at threads on RODI units about a week ago and came across one thread with a link someone had posted that went to (I think..) a sponsor's website. I saw on that site, an RODI unit with RO tank. It was a complete kit. I believe it was about $130-$200. Can someone tell me where I saw this and/or what site this is?:)

BRS sounds right, but many of the manufactures have a drinking water configuration as well as the reef specific setups.

Why do you want a tank??? Are you wanting to use it for drinking water too?? Some of those kits are junk so be careful. Also some of those kits sell you a bunch of crap you dont need. A basic 4 stage 75gpd system is all you really need.

I imagine the tank is for a non-ATO system, where when used normally, you could wait for a decent amount of time to fill your water change amount. I'd have to wait 5 hours with a 75GPD system for my 15 gallons for my changes.

    I'll reiterate:

If you use a RO(DI) system, and don't have a bucket/garbage can/tank for it to go into and an ATO system connected, you have to turn the system on and off manually, and it can take a while to fill 5+ gallons.

With a tank, it's 5 gallons you have instantly, anytime.

Blackraven is absolutely correct. I have a 55g, making a 20% weekly WC. I need 10g available whenever I do this, w/o taking a long time to fill 2 5g buckets.

I don't think I need it pressurized(unless all tanks are?).. It would be the same idea as you would have with drinking RO water, but it will be DI. SO to answer the question, no it will not be used for drinking water. I just need to be able to have at least double what I need at a time, to be ready, ICE.

I plan to buy it through BRS, and not ebay. I don't plan on getting ripped-off. I want something that will last.

AHH!! Gotcha! You are correct. It sounded like one of these systems that he was talking about. He hasnt really elaborated yet.:)
