The filters in front of the membrane are under pressure. The DI is after the membrane and is at atmospherice pressure unless you have it hooked to a pressurized ATO system in which case it will probably be full. Filling the canisters will do little if its to atmosphere, it will empty out again when you shut it off. It does not matter so don't worry about it.

Thanks everyone. I knew the forum would come through. I appreciate the info/advise. I feel much better now. This is my first time using a RO/DI unit and I got a little concerned when I noticed the DI canister not filling up. Oh well, alls well that ends well.

    Thanks Everyone,

Thanks everyone for the info/advise. Its a relief to know that my RO/DI unit is running normal. Once I hooked-up the TDS meter and the output showed all zeros, I was even more relieved. My next step in getting my 90g. up and running is the introduction of live rock and sand.
    Thanks Again Everyone,
