The more stages the better, just make sure it has a DI stage. Luna

    I got the Typhoon 75
Pretty happy with it. That one from bulk reef looks like it may be a better deal only $30 more and a free float valve. I'm going to order a float valve that will cost me $20 so almost the same price.

    Hello all
So I asked Air water Ice about the Typhoon and Bulk Reef about the 7 stage unit.

Neither company can provide me with instructions on how to set up these units to output RO to one container feeding the house drinking and one container feeding RO/DI to the aquarium.

Does anyone have this type of setup that can explain it to me ?

I dont want to buy a unit without knowing it is doable and how to do it ?

    Thanks

Its not recommended to ONLY drink R/O water. This is b/c the water that exits the R/O unit is dead water. Meaning that there isnt any minerals or vitamins in it. Its ok to drink it once in a blue moon, but not on a daily basis. Its great for salt mixes thou. Luna

i don't think its that dangerous. i've heard stories about how the water absorbs the minerals from your body. but i think you only have to worry about that if your getting it from a industrial filter(like what a factory would use), which can filter the water several times better then our puny home units. but that JMO.

The Typhoon III had a separate outlet for RO only and then one for RO/DI as I have one here that I would recommend to anyone.

Luna is right. It does not mean you can't drink it. It means that you should not drink a lot of it.
