Just added a battery operated air pump to my display. Makes me feel better, however... with it being -30 celcius outside i dont know how mine would fare with the heat off for prolonged periods... anyways, sorry for your losses... sounds expensive :(

WOW man, Im so sorry for your loss. But your filter system, wether it be a wet/dry, refugium, algae filter or sump should produce O2 for your tank. I dont understand what happened to you. I feel your pain. Luna

thanks to every one for the support, it will be hard, but ill endure it. im not restocking for a while till i fully change all the water and let it re-cycle. plus im broke, that was like $200 in fish.

Atleast you still have your little jawfish. I have one in my tank and he is by far my favorite fishy- he should do a good job of cheering you up.

:-( sry for your loss mate... i can tell you the same as i told to my wife when she used a spray to clean furniture in the room and the skimmer mixed it with water.. and you can immagine...

fault and mistakes can be done only if you do something.. and only when you make it wrong you understand it was wrong.. just learn and improove your skill so next time you wont do it again and they wont have died for nothing..

when a mistake kill s fish isnt a nice nor good thing.. but make it die for nothing is even worst..

learn from this and avoid the same in the future and this days wont be all wasted.

    sry for the loss mate

    GL for the future

Sorry for your losses, I know the feeling.

I would tend to agree with luna on this one. I suspect perhaps it was something else that caused this unfortunate incident. These are allot of casualties for a 24 hr period. Personally speaking I have gone without a skimmer for weeks with no ill-effect. Aside from the LR in my tank all I had running was my powerheads.

Again, sorry about this and good luck with future set-up.
