I have a Two Little Fishes Phosban Reactor 150 with a Rio 800 pump - I was wondering if there was a way to adjust the flow, to lower the gph, of the pump.

    Thanks

you could put a ball valve on it.

great idea - the rio 800 is rated at 211gph, is that to much for the 150? I have it hanging on the back of a 40gallon tank.

If you use vinyl tubing then just crimp it with a clamp of some sort like a plastic veggie clip or clothespin if you need a barbed micro valve holler I have then and thats what I use to control the flows

just a suggestion to reduce back pressure and extend your pump life. Tee off the line right out of the pump and put a line back down towards the pump. put the valve on the end of that line. It'll give you better flow control and reduce back pressure on the pump keeping it cooler.:)
