One manufacturer told me that I can not sit my lighting fixture on a rimless tank. If I want the fixture to sit on the sides then I have to have eurobracing. Does anyone have a fixture sitting on a rimless tank? The tank with be 100 gallons 48x24x20 1/2" starphire glass
    Thanks

I wouldnt sit it right on the tank...one big reason would be heat build up in the water, another reason is any splashing could break glass on the bulbs or even the protective glass....who knows!

I would somehow elevate it up off the tank to be safe!

I will be eurobracing it. I rather be safe. I never thought about the heat build up. My sunpod now does not cause any heat build up but the aquatic life fixture has 2 150 DE HID's plus 4 HO54 watt T5. I guess I will have to havng the fixture from the ceiling.

I wouldnt think that this will cause some heat issues... A fan blowing across it will help out a lot too
