    Got it at home depot, light diffuser, but eggcrate. Is it correct? If so, how should I clean it? Im going to use it to put it on the rock

    Just rinse it off with hot water if you're concerned about it. I never wash any that I use.

    Yes, it is known as light diffuser at the hardware store(s). I wouldn't bother cleaning it.

    it should be, but we dont know that. its just good practice to rinse it. you dont know what kinda dust could have fallen on it at home depot or what a random customer had on their hands.

    You can use some diluted vinegar solution to clean it if you really want to but i wouldnt worry too much about it.
