Does anyone else here keep a ribbon eel? I have had a white ribbon for a few years now and I have not seen any threads on them. I am just curious as we are looking to put a group of them in our new 265. And we would like to do others like the blue ribbon and others.

Well, personally, I've heard that they're too hard to take care of and I've learnt the hard way. I had a blue ribbon eel once and he didn't even last two days. He kept finding ways to escape and one night he escaped out of the tank and died on the floor... But If you have success with them, that's great but I wouldn't recommend them for the novice aquarist. They are very beautiful however and I'd love to try to keep one alive someday

they can be finnicky eaters. they cant see the food well. so he has to be hand fed. I do it the lazy way and get out the ziplock and he knows its dinner and he swims right in and I throw in some prawn.
