Yikes!! The good news is it feels like it is built like a tank.
Hopefully it will last 5 years.:Looking:

Um yeah. :p I hope so!

I have mine back online this week and running better than ever. My sump has 9" of water - I used a 1" riser on it and found a sweet spot. Also noticed something I didn't before - I turned the air-screw about 3 threads from all the way in and the impeller vibration (and noise) I had went away - it is very quiet now and the air bubbles are finer. I appear to be getting drier foam too.

Thanks for that tip Matt. I am going to try doing that to see if anything changes. Mine is running in 8" of water. In regards to dryness of the foam my foam borders on being to dry. The air holes on the cover seem to get clogged with foam build up. I have to clean them constantly. Ive never had a skimmer cover clog on me. Maybe others who have this can give me a tip as to how to fix or how to prevent.

    Thanks in advance

Matt;finer bubbles is actually a good thing.I am gonna tinker with mine.
One more observation:Be sure to clean the small air holes in the lid.The holes do accumulate some skimmate and clog a little.;)
