I've got a 120g salt in my living room, with my sump directly underneath in the basement. I'm thinking about upgrading my return pump. Anyone have any advice as far as size is concerned? It would need to push about a 12' head. This one is so old I can't even read the specs anymore, so I can't even tell you what I'm running with at this point.

You should buy a pump that runs at about 10 times the sump's volume at 12' head.

that should get you at least a range of headloss, I wouldn't rely on something accurately though, but its a nifty form calculator.
