Your choice of skimmer and the pump that the skimmer use do not influence your choice of return pump. You're asking what return pump you should put on your sump while giving no relevant information.

As far as brands go I like Eheim pumps. They are quiet and efficient. They also last forever. It is not uncommon for them to last 10 years or more.8)
If you want suggestions on pump size please list your gallonage of tank and sump.;)

How many gallons is the display and the sump? What willl you have for tank inhabitants?
Generally around 3 to 5x the display volume is a good rule of thumb for a return pump rate, thats after head losses.
I second the Eheim pumps and will throw Ocean Runners in there too, I have found them to be about identical in reliability and efficiency.

    have a look at this

    http://www.3reef.com/forums/refugium/thats-im-sumping-121965-2.html

i threw myself recently into the building of a sump and it now works like a charm, only negative point is that since i dont have that big blue sponge to trap the fine sand my goby mixes up my water isnt 100% clear as it was in the past. to counter this i have added a bed of small coral gravel (was afraid my goby would not be able to mix it but its doing fine) so yea im thinking/hoping with time as the goby mixes the finer sand and the gravel together the finer sand will go to the bottom of the bed

read the thread i posted man, from page one, I was thinking to create just a siphon down to the sump as well but in case of a power cut you will flood your sump or DT, flowbox is the only real alternative to "feed" your sump with water. read the thread!, i got some good tips there.
