I did a serious overhaul of 40g and got rid of almost all my fish. All I have left is a 6-line wrasse and a harptail blenny. My wife also bought me a beautiful coral beauty angel last night. What else can I put with these guys?

The 6 line is petty mean. I would be comfortable adding clowns, royal gramma, dottyback, firefish or cardinalfish. They should all be able to hold their own

Can you have multiple wrasses in a tank?

I know you can have mutliple wrasses with more peaceful ones. From what I have read, the 6 line is pretty mean. I do not think I would chance another wrasse with the 6 line in a 40 breeder with an already established territory.

The royal gramma's are also very docile fish so the 6 line may pick on it as well. If you have a refugium, you might consider putting the 6 line in there until after you add your other, more peaceful fish. You could then add the 6 line back to the main tank after the more peaceful fish have established there territory.
That's what I would do, anyways.

That's a really good idea. I always hear about 6-line's being mean but I've never had any problems with it. It try to peck my harptail once and the harp stuck right back and there hasn't been fighting since. He left my clowns alone in my original setup. Maybe my fish are just unusually calm. I had an orchid dottyback everyone told me would be trouble and I hardly ever saw it, it was so shy.
