    oh so if person a with karma of 1 gives you karma then person b who has 10000 karma you would get more karma from person b, is this right.

    People give karma for various happy reasons on the forum here :) The more you have, the more you can give. Your "rep power" is how much karma someone else gets if you give them positive karma. For example, if I gave you karma you'd get like 340 karma points haha. But I ain't gonna do that cause you haven't earned it yet :)
