Are rena xp3s known to produce micro bubbles? I ask bc I'm noticing quite a few micro bubbles in the tank. While I'm not used to using a bubbler I don't think they are coming from the air stone. They seem to be coming from the rena's spray bar. This is a freshwater system mind you...

    Hi nightster,

I've been using a xp3 for years on a freshwater tank, no bubbles. My son uses a xp2 on his turtle tank, no bubbles. Could be a loose clamp on a hose? Is the primer cap loose? Air has to be getting sucked in somewhere.

I have an XP2 can on a FW setup and have had no issues with micro bubbles. As MyBoyGus said, it might be a good idea to check the seals on the intake assembly and the canister itself.

Got home today and it wasn't spraying anymore micro bubbles, guess it worked itself out. Thanks for the tips though, this is my first rena so those thoughts wouldn't have crossed my mind...
