Any tips? I don't want to suck it everyday with water changes. So what else are your tips or tools to remove?

If you have a sump, place a filter sock down there, and then put one end of your water change hose in it, and then start sucking the cyano off the substrate in the DT. If you start sucking sand, it will get trapped in the filter instead of entering the sump. And best of all, you can do it all day long because you're not draining the system of water.

I wouldn't. I would conquer the things causing the problem and let the cyano be removed naturally.

I agree with Peredhil. you need to find the root cause of what the cyano is feeding off and eliminate it. they it wont keep coming back. I would bet it is phosphates in your water.

What r u testing with? It may be taken up as rapidly as it is released. Any other algae growth? I am battling some myself now but mainly on some of the rocks. Tested today with a Hanna checker and it was 0.02ppm
