I think your tank is too small for 2 clown fish, maybe 1. What kind of light do you plan on having on this tank? GBT's are very particular with light and do not tolerate parameter swings very well. IMO, you should re-think your stocking. The crab and snails are fine, maybe you could go all invert get a sexy shrimp or something cool like that for your 5 gal.

The anemone was kind of something I thought I'd add cuz clownfish, and anemones go hand in hand. If there's some other kind of anemone that's more suitable, let me know. I'm having an LED light built to fit my tank. Blue and white!

A clownfish does not need a anenome to live a long and healthy life. What kind of LED's are you going to use? There are some that will support an anenome, most of then won't especially with that size of a tank. You would need additional lighting besides the 1 LED light unless it is a radion or A.I sol or something of that magnitude. But why would you put a light like that on a 5 gallon? I had a GBTA in my 55 gallon with M.H and T-5 actinic light's, I am talking 700 watts of light on this tank! My corals grow like weeds! All I did was change to a 14K plus rite M.H bulb over 1/2 the tank and that was enough to kill the anenome, and my parameters are perfect, my tank is well established and very stable. I don't know of any anenome that will do well in that size of tank, you are going to get ammonia and nitrate spikes like mad! Have you considered a LPS coral like a hammer, frogspawn or torch? They do not require as much light and will potentially be ok in a 5 gallon tank. IMO that is too small of a tank for salt water, but I am old school and believe there is no replacement for displacement. But hey good luck!

I've seen 1 gallon tanks on this site lol. But Now that you say that, spending the money on an LED light for my first (not to mention tiny) tank is irrational. The one on it right now appears to be a fluorescent looking light with no blue bulb. It's bringing things that have been near death for 2 months practically back to life. I'm getting frogspawn, and a few others, I'll find the name. But I like I said I'm very new to this, so it's a learning experience. Eventually I'd like to graduate to a larger tank, but I want to wait until I graduate from college before moving up too much. I'd rather not have an all invert tank, I've seen some beautiful fish around that I'd kill for. If you have any other suggestions, please, let me know!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I agree 2 clown fish is too much for that small a tank. Sure it will work for a couple months, then you will start to have water quality issues.

Personally I think you are better to limit yourself to simple corals initially and perhaps a small clown goby.

I like the live rock you choose and the bare bottom. Simple corals such as kenya tree, mushroom, xenia with a few small inverts would be cool.

If you can swing a automated top off unit that would assist you greatly.

I wouldn't get discouraged but I'd ditch the clowns and BTA. Get a nice light (CF) and make a nice mushroom/ softie tank. Sexy shrimp and very cool and fun to watch. One thing you can to make a smaller tank "pop" is use a black backdrop.

Just be warned! Once you start with a 5 gallon you won't stop! It's a very fun hobby. :)
