That video was brought out on The O'Reilly Factor and other programs. It is generally seen as exploitation of the child. He is obviously uncomfortable and was over dosed by an incompetent dentist. I saw no humor.

 

I was telling one of my friends that this dentist must feel stupid. She said her daughter is like that every time she goes to the dentist. Apparently this boy reacts in a similar fashion. That would explain why the father had a video camera with him.

I think it's hilarious.

 

thats almost as funny as the clip... How is that exploiting that kid? that dads not allowed to tape his child? its no worse then the guy that turned a video of his kid hitting him in the nut for americans home video shows. and it not the dentist fault that the kid has that type of reaction to the meds. diffferent people react differently to the samething. i guess just let the kid feel the pain is the answer...

and the clip was funny as heck, once i thought the trip would never end too!!

 

it is too funny! kids that age have to be sedated somewhat or else they would 1. never be able to have anything done to them as they will not hold still, 2. have a horrid fear of the dentist in the future.

I remember going to the dentist as a kid and it took me a very long time as an adult to ever go back. When I was a kid I took some medicine that ate the enamel off every single tooth, so I had to have crowns placed on all my baby teeth...and I remember going to almost every single appt.

Trust me adults do the same thing when they are given "conscious sedation" Ever have a colonoscopy..... you say some of the very stuff that kid did and even worse. But would you want to remember that procedure?

 

apparently they stone you when you go to the dentist. Bob Dylan never told me... I am disillusioned now.

 

OMG I am sending this to everyone I know. I thought it was hilarious. I had a similar experience when I was young with Nitrous.. i remember being in the dentist chair thinking I was expanding off the face of the planet and saw a huge planet size mickey mouse as I was spinning off the planet.. it actually kinda changed my life path I experimented a lot and always remember that memory. not that I would recommend drugs as the downsides of them were worse for me than anything that was enjoyable. but hands down that is f n hilarious and a lot of people i know will love this...
