Got an annoying issue. One of my drains goes into my refugium, one into a filter sock. No issues on the filter sock side. However, the other drain that goes into the fuge is nothing but bubbles. The fuge is literally cloudy with bubbles. These spill into the return section and the returns are blowing clouds of bubbles into the tank.

I could put a piece of foam before it spills into the return (plan to do that anyhow), but I don't really want the fuge to be all cloudy with microbubbles, either.

    Ideas?

The drain going to the fuge side has the tube going fully submerged, right? Otherwise, the solution should be to put a piece of tube on the end to make it longer, or put a sock/sponge/carbon bag under it.

Yep, it's submerged. I even have a piece of foam at the end of it under the water, as well.

Hrm, I would think the best option would probably be to have the bottom end just above the water, and a sponge half in/half out of the water, if you want to avoid the bubbles. A filter sock might help too.

I'm going to stop talking now, and let someone else chime in, as I'm not quite a plumbing expert lol

correction, i do have slight bubbles. i watched it for longer and there are some minor bubbles that come out. i dont have enough of them to make it over to the overflow into the return chamber section though.

all the pvc glued? perhaps extra air coming in somewhere i dunno. that sounds crazy.... the way you describe it makes it sound like your refugium became the body of a skimmer :)
