How are those Jebo 18w UV Sterilizers? I am looking into buying a UV Sterilizer and was leaning towards the Coralife Turbo Twist one.

Let me know how that one turns out for you...

Anyone have any opinion on either one and suggestions?

bad news, they emailed me back saying that the 6x80 watt 5 foot fixture does not come in 110v, so it looks like i'll either have to grab the 4 foot 6x54 watt fixture and and rig up a canopy for them to sit in or keep looking for something else. anybody selling a 5 foot t5 setup? time to check the classifieds.

Careful here.. With a canopy you should use a retrofit. Overheating might prevail. Ask around first about it. I'm not familiar with that setup. It may intail cutting a hole in the top and hanging it some way.

they do sell 220v to 110v converters, but I cant find any over 100w max.. you'll probly need a converter that will handle at least 500w (8x54w) you'll have to search google/yahoo see if you can find one.. just a thought.. this one below is only 100w so it wont work for you..

    2 - Way Travel AC Voltage Converter 110V to 220V 100W - eBay (item 250546691011 end time Apr-10-10 00:11:20 PDT)

    edit/update:

heres one thats rated for 500w below.. its only 35 bucks..its looks like a lunch box :) I would email that guy selling you light to see if this converter will work 100% with that 8x54w unit you wanted to buy.. you might want to search for one thats a little higher watts though.. because you'll be running 400-430watts 85% and thats pretty much maxing out the unit..

ok final update: here's a 1000w max this thing weighs 16lbs :) lol

you've done all the work for me! sweet! haha, thanks, i just got a refund on the lights and shipping and i'm getting everything else sent my way and trying to figure another lighting situation out in the mean time. pretty bummed, that seemed like such a great deal especially now that i'm looking around for other comparable light setups.

I've found that sometimes when you try to save a few bucks and then get all these extra parts to make things work....you spend equal or more money..and time then if you just bought a decent one here to begin with.

I do the same thing all the time....I think because you think you get a good deal...and then its easier to justify all the little things to make it work because your not spending the money all at once.
