    Advice? Just use it.

I have 2 of them, soon to be 3. They do what they're supposed to. wouldn't setup another tank without them. have them controlling my lights, heaters, auto top-off, calcium reactor, cooling fans, power heads, etc...

the small price they cost is worth it compared to the amount of money you would have to pay to buy individual items for comparable functionality such as light timers, heater controllers, auto top offs, etc.. just those few things already puts you over the price of a reefkeeper.

I have one and I love it. But be prepared. It did not work for me out of the box. I had to upgrade the firmware on all of the components. I also had to return the pH probe. It would not calibrate. Also, one of the main reasons I bought the DA controller was for the salinity probe which has been a complete debacle. I think they finally have that under control, so I order one last week. But now that I have everything running, it's great.
