I have a 40 gallon breeder tank. 36" long. I'm torn...... Should I do the 24" controllable unit, or the 32" unit?
Will the 32" be too much? I don't want dim edges.
    I have no canopy.

IMO, I would go with the 32" for coverage purposes. Lighting intensity can be adjusted with the knob.

The 24" is optimal for a 40 breeder, if you can hang it from up high, the lowest par theoughout the tank was about 100, with water in it. At 6" above the water

If I go with the 32" can I put it lower over the tank? Would he sides be dim with the 24"?
