    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    I believe they are soft cycled if cycled at all.

    The short time they are set up is not really going to cause a dramatic climb in ammonia. They probably just watch the parameters and do a wc if indicated.

    At least this was the way they did at MACNA in Long Beach.

    The water provided is Natural Sea Water. The water is bacterially alive! It is pulled from the Pacific Ocean the night prior to set up. The SoCal crowd is very familiar with setting up temporary display tanks and most of them pack a lot of carbon and HOB skimmers. Everytime I went to MACNA, I was blown away by the problems and livestock loss in so called professionals tanks. It always smelled like coral death when you walked in the event early in the morning. At RAP, we are so used to it (4-5 major shows per year) it has never been something that we worry about.
