I just purchased a Red Sea magnesium test kit. I have tried it four times and am unable to get the blue endpoint. It goes to purple at around 1280 ppm but never turns blue even after adding what would be equivalent to 2500 ppm worth of reagent. Has anyone else seen this.

    Thanks

Yes. I have that kit. The end color is actually purple, not blue like it shows on the card.
Wherever it turns purple, that is the drop you stop at.

    Thanks

Thanks for the tip. The color chart is way off. Is this kit accurate?

My Red Sea Mg test kit actually goes from purple to a dark blue very close to the card... an almost perfect color match.
