    I don't know. I've always completely crushed it into a powder, then added a little tank water, mixed it up, and dumped it in (once I had everything else ready, of course :) ).

    Chop it up with a razor blade first, then use the back of a spoon. You'll have nothing but powder. A mortar and pestle would also work nice, if you have that sort of thing.

    Easier in RO/DI... Normal water will work fine even. It does not take much.

    !!WARNING!! Do not microwave RO/DI.

    I did it with a hammer lol. I was going to use a mortar and pestle in the lab lol.. but it seemed a little dirty, so I rinsed it and dried it. It still felt powdery or dusty lol. I figured I could use most likely use lab soap, but I didn't just to be safe...

    So I have it weighed out and ready to go. Now I am just waiting for the lights to go out!
