    I was researching acceptable nitrate levels for my mantis (if I ever find one :() and came across this article. If your n03 is high it will cause red areas to appear on your fish. Just thought of this thread when I read it.

    Thanks for the article! That is good to know. Thankfully my nitrates are 0. But this is good info to have! He hasn't been wearing any more lipstick lately, so hopefully her decided to do away with it. ;)
