OK, so it's living in a birdsnest so it's not really an acro crab, but you get the idea. I was taking photos of one of the birdnests we listed this week and found this guy hiding in the branches. I've seem a lot of commensal coral crabs, but I thought this guy was really cool because of his camouflage.

Don't think I can get a full shot, LOL! That was the only one out of about 10 you could even tell what he was.

My answer to the camera question is going to surprise you. For my coral shots I actually ditched the fancier cameras and housings for a Canon point and shoot. It's an $79 A490 in a cheap generic "zip lock" type underwater houseing. Two reasons I went this route. One, the smaller size is much more manageable in the tanks. Sometimes I have to use some funny angles to get a shot in a crowded tank, and the small size of a little P&S makes it much easier to do so without causing half the corals in the tank to close up. Secondly, I specifically went with this model because of it's Macro capability. Most P&S's can't focus in macro mode much close than 3"-4", this camera will focus in macro at less than 1/2". That allows me to get really close to Zoa's and things like that to get a good macro shot. It also has enough "manual" settings that I can adjust the white balance, ISO, etc. if I need to.

You can find nice (fairly expensive too) acrylic housings for some cameras. I actually have a nice "clamshell" housing for my wife's camera that we use when we snorkel...I didn't want to spend 4x more than the camera for this one though so I got one of these on eBay for about $30:
