    Sanding=heat. Heat=cracking. Dont do it. No guts no glory Drill it if you feel this strongly about it. But you have been warned this is going to be very risky.

    I think it could be done by using a diamond encrusted drill bit and some plumbers putty to make a reservoir around the existing hole
