I was thinking taking a little off the top so I can put in my seaclone skimmer. Some rock is resting on the backwall towards the top. I know it's not the best but it removed gunk in my 90! I have 2 REEFBREEDER'S 24" value LEDS as well. [IMG]

I think it looks pretty good. Removing a rock for the skimmer might go a long way. In a nano, less is more. ;)

I think you may be able to take a couple of pieces of rock out - you have so much in there.....just look to take out some less interesting shaped pieces or those with less coralline. I ran a seaclone on my 54 FO for many years and it did an adequate job - there are also mods you can do on it with adding an airstone to make it perform even better - you could do a search on the forum for them if you're interested.

I feel aquascaping is the most difficult part of reef tanks lol

It is a dry heat, yeah right !

Me too. I fail always at it, but....I think you could remove a larger top middle rock. It's harder to make a unique scape with you're working with rounded pieces. Sometimes I take a hammer to them.

I have even more rock too in a box, maybe I'll see if I have any good unique pieces. All this is Fiji, I think the other may be more branch style. If I use it do I need to soak, been in a box dry for a bit? If I can get 2 columns that would awesome. Going to do a water change and mess with it Sunday.

Just rinsing the rock should be fine.

Remember when you mess with a scape that has been set up for some time you have be careful not to disturb the sand bed too much. Also stirring up a lot of detritus can cause a decline in water quality.

A water change after sounds ideal. Perhaps runs some newer carbon as well.

I am absolutely the worst at re-scaping. I'll start with the best intentions and end up with a mess because I can not place corals like I want. If I am at it for more than 45 minutes I usually call time out and take a break.
