To make a long story short, I will be moving in a few months. I thought it would be irresponsible to try take all of the tanks (I had 9 running.). I am just not convinced that I could do it safely. So, all have been shut down except for two smaller systems. I will be shutting one of those down as I can find new homes for the remaining corals in there. I will just try to take the one small system with me when I move. I will then "resume the madness" when I get stable. My long-term goal is to set up a 10-12ft home for a Naso, with just leathers and other high-current softies. I will always maintain my mushroom system/lagoon, which is the small system I will be taking with me. I will start a thread for that system in the next week or two. The 125g was just always my pride-and-joy (aside from my mushroom collection), which is why I started the current thread.

Patience, por favor. I have been tearing down 7 systems, and have been putting a new one together. All in due time. Hopefully this evening I'll get some up.

Okay. Here we go with the first installment. I thought I might introduce the fish first. Meet Sarafina, the dwarf lionfish. The second dwarf to live in this tank. She has recently moved to her new home locally, and is doing well. The yellow tang Sooryah, in the background, has gone to live in the same tank with Sarafina and is also doing well.

The following is a picture of Sarafina swimming into the current produced by an MP40. She did this ritualistically in the late evenings.

As a funny side-note, I believe the new caretakers have renamed Sarafina "Frank."

Okay, call me a liar. I said there was no clean-up crew. This is Sally the Shrimp. She has recently gone to live with a new owner locally, and is doing well.

Meet Adalia, the Sohal tang. In general, it is NOT RECOMMENDED to keep a Sohal in such a small tank. Further, it is NOT RECOMMENDED to keep a Sohal with a yellow tang (or any other tang, for that matter). Adalia was unique in that she was totally blind. Thus, I was comfortable with the arrangement, and the fish seemed to be as well. Adalia could not eat as the other fish did. She was fed Nori daily, which she was able to locate on the front glass. I did not clean the back glass, so that she could graze on algae that grew there throughout the day. Although she did bump into things when they were recently rearranged, she did remarkably well. She went to a new home a few months ago, as the first step in the tank breakdown/move. To my knowledge, she is doing well.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Thank you for sharing. Those are really good images of the dwarf lion and the cleaner shrimp.

Seven tanks, that is a lot of work. Especially with those types of fish.

Good luck on the new system. :)

Before introducing the other fish, here are a couple of corals that lived in the tank. I am not an SPS fan at all, but there was obviously something special about this guy/gal. To my knowledge, this coral still lives with its new owner.

I am a huge leather fan. The little guy on the left is still living with me in my primary (although small) system. This leather is particularly colorful.

The leather peeking through on the right is a lineaged Palau Nepthea. Although not quite as colorful as some others I have, its uniqueness is derived from the fact that it is thought to be extinct in the wild. I should have more pictures of this one somewhere.
