No. I am not posting the most insane tank ever, one so novel that no one has ever seen one like it before. What I am not sure has been done frequently is that I am actually going to start a thread about a tank that I just took down (about a week ago). I have thousands of pictures of the tank taken across the years it was running. I thought I would post some of them here, just for fun. Odd, yes. Think of it as something akin to a memorial. Then, perhaps, it makes more sense.

As for the tank itself, and the equipment used, I will spare most of the details. There had been so many changes, I am not sure I could even recall all of them. Suffice it to say that it was a standard 125g glass tank, typically 2 x 175w metal halides (Ushio or XM 10k, or Iwasaki 14k) with some actinic supplementation (1 or 2 VHO URI Super Actinics). For the most part, I ran a downdraft skimmer rated to 300g, and did 10g water changes twice per week with RODI (hey, I like a clean tank). No carbon or phosphate remover (just water changes), but did have plants in the 30g sump. I pushed about 1200g/hr through the sump, and had about 3000-4000g/hr in-tank circulation. I had a clean-up-crew for a while, but hate critters pushing corals over all of the time. So, I ended up taking the CUC out, and have never regretted it (I was/still am the best clean-up-crew). I fed the fish twice per day (the dwarf lionfish ate once every other day), but didn't feed corals. No ATO, and dosed for MG, KH, and CA manually using Epsom Salt, Baking Soda, and BRS Calcium Chloride. I dripped Kalk for a while.

I think that covers the basics. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask away.

I am just going to post pictures mostly randomly, as I clean up my computer's pictures folders, and find any worth posting. Hopefully, I'll have the first installment up in the next day or so.

Thanks, and I do hope you enjoy. I know I did.

What size tank do you have now? Or did you just move the same tank?
