So I wake up this morning, make my kids breakfast, press some coffee, walk over to the reef tank, 3.5" stag half dead. I watch a little longer and see my Solar Wrasse picking at the stag. Is this because it was mysteriously dieing or is he just being a *****?

To think, I just put him back in the display after he jumped into my overflow last week.

It is picking because the stag is dying. They won't touch it if it is alive.

I thought that might be the case. Weak. I really have no idea whats wrong. Not much that can reach it to sting and many other stags are fine...ish happens I guess.

Yes, the wrasse is not killing the coral, it is picking at it because the coral is dead, or more likely is eating the critters that are eating the dead coral.

RTN happens. It's easy to blame the thing you see picking at it, but that may not be the culprit.
