Have 2 of the 72 watt Cree fixtures. Have a 75 gallon new setup with no corals yet. Question when I get corals. What intensity should I be running these at? Just play by ear or? I have the lights about 5-6 inches above tank. Thanks

Start out at 25%, and raise the intensity about 5% a week. I would raise them up to about 8-12"above the water

Raise them for spread, and no, you can put new arrivals in the shade for a week or so, and slowely move them out.

ya but keep in mind there are corals out there that need a lot of light and are use to a lot of light, just make sure you know what you are picking out.

I like to play it safe, but do less acclimation for sps, softies and lps need acclimation.
