    If I am removing live rock, do I top it off with salt water or rodi water??

    You are taking volume out of the tank so i suppose salt water right?

    Yes, if you replace the water with RO/DI it will lower your SG.

    Salt Water = YES :)
    RO/DI = No


    I should also ask, how big is this rock?

    saltwater. However.............make sure you test your specific gravity prior to adding anything. Based on what your SG reading is, you can figure out what you need. More then likely you SG will be fine, however if you are not on the ball wiht water replacement due to evaporatiion, it can creep up rather fast.
