quick 15g drilling question.

    Ok i found my 15g tank at the lfs last night and baught it. Now i want to take the top rim off it but im going to be drilling 3 holes in the back side. 2 of the holes will be half inch returns and then 1 of them will be a 1inch intake. Will this weaken the glass if i take the rim off or should i leave the rim on with that many holes on one glass panel.

    If there is a rim on there from factory, I would leave it. It is figured into the overall strength of the tank.
