Is this a good brand to have?
Which would be good for a 55 gall on tank?
    Nano 240 gph 3.5W
    1 400 gph 3.5W
    2600 gph 9W
    3850 gph 10W
    41,200 gph 12W
How many should I get to avoid dead spots? I want a good flow, but not something thats going to be overkill.

    Thanks guys.

on my 220 I have 4 korlia 4s and 3 model 3s. I dont know on the smaller tank but my water is moving. I would go go with 3 of the lower models maybe one on each end and one in the middle to make it stay moving.

Have you checked out the VorTech MP series from ecotech?
Heres the smallest version, perhaps 2 of these would do the trick. Could maybe get away with one if your brave. Next size up is also quite a price hike aswell.

They have good current and wave features. You can check out videos of them in action makin pretty big waves, or making random flow patterns aswell.

I'm checked out whats on the market and have decided on one of these.

On my 90 gallon I have 2 model 3's at opposite ends of the tank to move the water in a circular pattern, I have a lot of rock work that makes this the only option.

Oh I forgot that I have a CA 2200 return pump (850 gph) and Im not sure what my over flow is. I also have an Excalibur Protein Skimmer that I can't seem to find any info on.

Thanks for the input. Do you think two of the Model 1's would do ok on a 55 gal?

No. I have a K1 in a 16 gallon bowfront and its really disappointing. I have two K4s in my 100G tank and use a K3 in my 20G frag tank.
I would look at two K3s at a minimum.

With your return, I would say three K1's would be perfect. That or go with 2 K2's.

Fish love the current, mine often "surf" in front of the Koralias, its fun to watch. You would be extremely disappointed with K1s for sure. It won't even make a finger leather wave!
