Oh boy. I don't have any at the moment but I'm sure if look when I get home I may be able to find some. They basically use the same garbage everytime, they just target any other company and say that the lights they make are junk because they use cree emiters, and Orphek uses their "power led" diodes. I've seen posts where someone asks a question about a specific product from another company, and orphek jumps in to hype their overpriced junk "power led" diodes.

Lmao. Gcarroll has seen some of the orphek bs floating around I believe. Actually I believe there's a thread here on 3reef where you asked them for some information and they never answered you. Typical of orphek. Anyone can call up supplier in china and order a ton of off brand leds and call em "power" diodes.

"The Radion's price tage is a surprisingly cheap $750, " wow. I know I cannot afford one right now... I was thinking a bit overpriced... but thats coming from someone who deals in imports regularly...if you figure the company makes 40 points off selling to a distributor, the distributor makes 25 points selling to a retailer who makes 40 points selling it to you.. the cost of the item to the manufacturer is in the $180-$200 range....

The problem that started all of this was someone claiming to know more about an LED product that they had never seen and claiming that it's no good. So far the only defense I've seen against that is more of the same. That's what Jake did, and that seems to be the basis of your argument. Correct me if I'm wrong there.

You're exactly right that anyone can call up China and get what ever they want, but do you have proof that Orphek does this or that EcoTech does not? A lot of what comes out of China is high quality stuff, so do you have proof of the quality of stuff that they may have ordered from China?

This is why opinions are best left to those who have tested a product.

I still want to see those links though. I don't like working with companies that bash other companies, and so far I've not seen Orphek do this. If it's out there, I'd most definitely like to know about it!
