I made a tank last night, but I'm pretty sure the silicone bead where the bottom meets the sides is too thick. I checked this morning, and the bead was still gooey under the hardend silicone on the surface.

Is this going to be a problem? How would I remedy this?:-/

No such thing as too much silicone on a bead. If the air is too dry it will slow down the curing process though. If you can keep the air around it humid it will help cure the silicone.

Wait a few days, be patient, let it dry. It will take the same amount of time to rip it out and redo it. Some people wait 24 hours, I usually wait 72. The thicker it is, the longer it takes to dry throughout. You should see my sump, silicone city. Whatever works right?

Haha, you've never been to the Mojave desert, have you? NO moisture in the air. Thanks for the tip though, perhaps I'll run a humidifier on the other side of the room.

I guess you're right. The silicone is turning from milky to slightly cloudy and clear in some places. I'll probably give it another few days to make sure.

Thanks for the replys. K+ to both of you!
