Question about Goby

You know ever since I said I hardly see mine, every time I turned around to look at my tank he was perched some where out in the open. Darn thing made me feel like a liar lol.

LOL, how do you feed them i squirt some shrimp into their burrow but idk if he is eating it

 

I bought one and read that they are jumpers before I even purchased it. So, as soon as I acclimated him and dumped him in, he disappeared. I was confused. I even checked the bag that he came in that i threw away to make sure he did get in the tank. I looked all around the floor thinking the little booger already jumped. Finally a couple of days later i kept seeing these plumes of sand shooting out from under the rock. As soon as i put him in he dove under a rock and started building his batch pad. After about 3-4 days he comes out all the time and is getting less shy of me. I have only had him about 2 weeks and my sand is spotless!

 

yeah this is my 3 day with him and he is already out cleaning the sand when im spying on him, but when i get to close to the glass he goes away, and they only jump if they are spooked, or get really stressed, but do you no how they feed, or do you need to feed the or what, ive been trying to give him shrimp but i dont think he needs to eat it or what!!?!?!?!
