    I have a suggestion, does your tank have a stand? And if so does it have a sump, is there room underneath to place your qt? That's what I have done with mine for my fresh and am working on the same idea for my salt. Out of site and out of the way as well. Provided you have the room. Also keep in mind it just a qt for livestock not corals so stock t8 light would suffice. Just my 2 cents

    Unfortunately the stand has a vertical divider down the center. I could remove it, but I don't trust my stand to hold the weight without it. I might be be able to fit a tall tank in there, maybe a hex size. I think I've seen hex ten gallons.
