    Hello All,

I recently purchased a 90 g. "Aqueon Glass Aquarium" with canopy and stand. The stand (cabinet) is all wood. My previous stand was the typical metal type. I would like the forum to tell me how these stands (cabinet) hold up. Does the wood start to wilt over time? Do I need to do any prep work to the stand before filling the tank?

    Thank You,

real wood like pine 2 x whatevers, plywood, and hardwoods wont "wilt" at all if built properly, but particle board like MDF will give you nothing but problems.

if the inside is untreated, you may want to put a few coats of varnish on it. prefereable a marie type. will seal against water evaporation that could affect it.
